1. Our Privacy Promise

Your privacy is sacred to us. Mdmn Chess (founded by Daniel Tadros) operates on a fundamental principle: educational empowerment should never come at the cost of personal surveillance. We collect the absolute minimum data needed to communicate with you — nothing more.

"We NEVER sell, rent, trade, or monetise your personal information under any circumstances. Period."

2. What Information We Collect

We adhere strictly to data minimisation principles. The only personal data we process is what you voluntarily submit through our official contact form:

  • Your Full Name: Used solely to address you respectfully in our response.
  • Your Email Address: Used strictly to reply to your inquiry.
  • Message Subject & Content: The details you provide regarding coaching inquiries, curriculum design, academic grants, or feedback.
What We DO NOT Collect: We do NOT use tracking cookies, analytics profiling scripts, cross-site trackers, advertising pixels, device fingerprinting, or data brokers.

3. How We Use Your Data

Any information submitted via this website is used exclusively for the following lawful purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries regarding coaching, school curriculum design, media collaborations, or scholarship partnerships.
  • To fulfill requests for educational materials or community workshop details.
  • To maintain security and prevent automated contact form spam.

We will never add your email address to newsletter lists or marketing campaigns without your explicit opt-in consent.

4. Data Processors & Infrastructure

To deliver messages reliably and protect against cyber threats, we utilize two world-class infrastructure providers that maintain strict GDPR compliance:

  • Formspree Inc. (Contact Form Delivery): Formspree acts as our secure form processing agent under a GDPR Data Processing Addendum (DPA). Formspree transmits your contact form message to Daniel Tadros' encrypted inbox and stores submissions securely in transit.
  • Cloudflare Inc. (CDN & Edge Security): Cloudflare routes traffic safely to mitigate DDoS attacks and enforce HTTPS encryption. Cloudflare processes basic web traffic metadata (IP addresses) in transient memory strictly for security logging and threat mitigation.

5. Security & Technical Architecture

We implement multi-layered technical controls to ensure your communications remain private:

  • End-to-End Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS): Every byte transmitted between your browser and this site is encrypted using SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Static-Site Architecture: This website is built as a lightweight, pre-rendered static site. There is no central SQL database containing user accounts or passwords, effectively eliminating database breach vectors.
  • Enterprise Firewalls & DDoS Defense: Protected by Cloudflare Web Application Firewall (WAF) to block malicious intrusion attempts.
  • Anti-Spam Honeypots: Contact forms utilize silent honeypot fields to trap malicious spambots without tracking human visitors.

6. Data Retention Policy

We keep your messages only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of your communication (e.g. resolving your inquiry or conducting coaching correspondence). Once our correspondence is concluded, routine records are archived securely or permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your correspondence at any time.

7. Your Legal Rights (GDPR & CCPA Aligned)

Regardless of your country of residence, we extend comprehensive data privacy rights to all visitors in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request the immediate, permanent deletion of your messages and contact records.
  • Right to Restrict or Object: You may object to data processing or withdraw consent at any time.
  • Right to Data Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, simply email us via the contact form or directly. We pledge to verify and fulfill all legitimate data requests within 30 days maximum free of charge.

8. Protection of Children’s Privacy

Mdmn Chess is an educational initiative dedicated to inspiring young minds through strategic thought. We recognize the vital importance of protecting youth privacy online:

  • We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain EU jurisdictions) without verifiable parental/guardian consent.
  • If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has submitted personal details through our contact form, please contact us immediately. We will delete such information from our records within 48 hours.

9. Cookies & Local Storage Policy

This website does NOT set tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on your device.

We use only essential browser localStorage to remember your theme preference (Dark Mode vs. Light Mode) between page loads. This setting resides solely inside your own browser and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

10. Third-Party Links & Media

Our website contains links to external educational media (YouTube channel, LinkedIn, Substack, Instagram, Facebook). When you click an external link, you navigate to a third-party platform governed by its own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy notices of any external site you visit.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements or legal standards. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp at the top.
